Sydney Port – Update – Two New Congestion Surcharges, DPW Update and Further Vessel Delays

Good Day All,

Please find our update today which sees two additional Port Congestion Surcharges as well as more vessel arrival changes and an update from DP World.

Hapag Lloyd – Sydney Port Congestion Surcharge

“Due to congestion in the port of Sydney caused by industrial action, we will apply a Congestion Surcharge in order to maintain service levels.

The Congestion Surcharge Origin / Destination (CGO/ CGD) of USD 300 per TEU…” this notice effects cargo Departing or Exported form 16/09 from non FMC trade lanes (FMC Trade lanes mainly US). Full info on Hapag Lloyd site here.

TS Lines – Sydney Port Congestion Surcharge

“…we would like to advise customers that due to on-going congestion and delays at the port of Sydney, a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS) of USD 280/TEU will be applied.

Please note that this charge will apply to Sydney import cargoes ONLY. First applicable vessels are as follows: CAT Service: HARRIER HUNTER / 2006S / ETA SYD 30th September NAX Service: EVER ULYSSES / 132S / ETA SYD 28TH September (TBC)” Full info is available on TS Lines site here

ANL – Port Congestion Surcharge Amendment

ANL and CMA CGM Port Congestions Surcharge is USD285 per TEU and they have made changes to the applicable dates which we note as follows

  • Export cargo for all vessels (non USA trades) departing Sydney on or after 17th September
  • Import cargo to Sydney for all vessels (non USA trades) departing origin on or after 17th September **WAS from arrival 17/09

DP World Submit application to Fair Work

It has come to our attention that  DP World has submitted an application with the Fair Work Commission have industrial action ceased due to the impact causing stakeholders. Further info can be forunt on DP World customer update here .

OOCL & YML Notice  – OOCL Texas further delays

“Further to our notification of yesterday, we have been advised by the vessel operator / Patrick in order to mitigate the ongoing delays the OOCL Texas will further change her rotation.  Please find below her schedule thus far.  Once further details for the remaining ports are known we will advise.”

  • Adelaide: ETA 22nd September / ETD 23rd September
  • Melbourne: ETA 26th September / ETD 27th September
  • ETA’s and berthing schedules into Sydney and Frementle remain TBA at this stage.

ANL & CMA CGM Notice  – CMA CGM Puccini

“Please be advised that the CMA CGM Puccini V036S/038N is delayed as it carries over delays form its previous voyage compounded by ongoing berth congestion.

Revised dates are as follows:
