Possible Delays at Port Botany

Dear Customers,

We have received notice that sever weather is effecting operations in Port Botany. Below is provided by Port Botany Pilot Services;

Please be advised due to severe weather conditions around the Sydney Coastal Waters, the Port Authority have suspended all pilot services of vessels into and out of the Port Botany area. This meaning, there will be lengthy delays to vessels effecting both import and export shipments.

Currently we have seen a delay with the below 3 vessels

Christa Schulte – docked on port, availability pushed back 1 day.
Cap Ferrato & MSC Flaminia – Both waiting to be piloted into the terminal. No ETA yet.

With the severe weather conditions expected to remain throughout the weekend, the Port are unable to predict when vessels will re-commence coming in. As a result it is foreseen that all vessels with an ETA and availability date over the next 3-4 days will be directly impacted. We estimate there may be 12 vessels through the 3 terminals that have an ETA through until Sunday 3rd June that will be delayed.

Please do not hesitate to contact your SILA Customer Service Rep if you would like more info.
